Le Pine Funeral Services has entered its third century of funeral service.
One of Melbourne’s oldest funeral businesses, Le Pine Funeral Services has its origins in the French Revolution.
The well known business of Le Pine funerals was started by one man, Joseph Le Pine, whose family had fled their homeland of France in the 1870′s to escape the sufferings of the Hugenots or the French Revolution.
In 1891 Joseph was established as an undertaker. Previously he had worked as a cabinet maker, which was not unusual in the early funeral industry.
Now one of Victoria’s premier funeral companies, Le Pine offers all funeral services in some of Victoria’s finest facilities. Funerals may be held at one of Le Pine’s elegant chapels, where refreshments can be provided after the service, allowing time for people to meet in a quiet unhurried atmosphere.
The people at Le Pine know that no two funerals are alike and they will work beside you to include special themes in the ceremony that reflect the life of the deceased. Their experience means that they can also assist with arrangements involving a wide spectrum of religious, secular, cultural and family traditions.
Le Pine has 17 funeral homes, mainly in metropolitan Melbourne.
