Nelson Bros Funeral Services are Melbourne’s oldest family-owned funeral directors. With five modern funeral homes across Melbourne suburbs, we maintain the highest standards to provide professional quality care in everything we do. Nelson Bros Bereavement Resource Centre has provided assistance for those in the community dealing with loss and grief since 1987.

Funeral Merchandise

Nelson Bros provides a range of quality funeral merchandise that may be purchased by families. These include: coffins and caskets, cremation memorials (or urns), memorial books, temporary grave markers, crucifix and cruficix mounts, and other merchandise.

Transport

Nelson Bros has continuously maintained some of the finest vehicles in Australia and is recognised nationally for its funeral fleet.

Nelson Bros hearses are still constructed to our own personal design for both ease of use and to provide dignity and respect. Our magnificent historic 19th century horse-drawn hearse and 1926 Buick hearse have been painstakingly restored and are available upon request.

Refreshments

To assist families, those attending the funeral do not need to travel to a secondary location. Nelson Bros has special refreshment areas in our funeral homes.

We have created an easy choice of specially prepared menus, fresh daily. Nelson
Bros offers popular choices for everyone’s needs, providing consistent, reliable and suitable menu options. Our fresh tasty fillings appeal to even the fussiest eaters as we avoid ingredients such as curry, garlic and raw onion, without compromising on flavour and variety.

All menus include freshly brewed tea and filtered premium Mocopan Coffee.
